Karen Hemmes, known as DJ Hemmesphere, was born in Edmonton, Canada, and discovered her passion for music early on. After moving to Arizona in 2006, she began DJing at 18 in Show Low, AZ, quickly becoming the resident DJ at a local bar. Driven to reach larger audiences, she moved to Scottsdale in 2011, where her talent and versatility earned her spots alongside artists like Bingo Players and Timmy Trumpet, and performances at festivals like Wet Electric. Named one of Arizona’s top 10 female DJs in 2016, DJ Hemmesphere continues to shine across a variety of venues and events with her diverse musical range, from hip hop to EDM.
